As I previously mentioned, I started off the independent reading unit with the Trials Of Apollo series.
I like this book because Rick Riordan has such a good way of bringing a story to life. You really feel like you are the character in his book. He will get your heart beating, your adrenaline kicking in and your brain captivated. I love to read books that really make you feel like you are in the story as the main character.
